The health curriculum is presented
in four units: personal health and safety, nutrition, mental
health, and substance abuse prevention. Behaviors which
promote mental and physical health are
emphasized.
Family customs and traditions
are important in establishing a healthy
identity.The students in Ms. Herczogh's class share
items that display family customs during their
health lesson.
Fourth grade students guess what
is behind each flap as a fellow student shares her
project on healthy snacks from A to Z.

Students study and discuss foods
listed in the food pyramid.
Students join together to form a
human pyramid at the conclusion of their nutrition
