Science

In science, fourth graders experiment with simple machines, visit a planetarium to learn about the solar system, and observe and record weather conditions. In addition, students use experimental design as they study the life cycle of plants and investigate the characteristics of rocks and minerals.

This student is putting the finishing touches on her planets brochure for Neptune and Pluto.	This student is beginning to edit her informational brochure about the planet Mercury.
Students gather information from the Internet and library resources to complete a planet poster.
Once the projects are finished the students share their planet posters during an oral presentation to the class.
