 Mrs. Dixon and Ms. Marrone

ESOL Teachers

 

 

Mrs. Dixon and her family have lived in Fairfax County for seventeen years. They moved here when her husband was stationed as a JAG officer at the Pentagon. Before coming to Kings Glen,she substituted in the school system and then took classes for ESOL endorsement.She has been teaching ESOL in the county for more than ten years. She began teaching ESOL full time at Lynbrook ES. This is her nineth year at Kings Glen. This is Ms. Marrone's third year at Kings Glen. She was an instructional assistant at Bull Run ES before joining the KGES staff. She moved to Washington, D.C. from New York to be close to family members. She worked as a paralegal for ten years at a large DC law firm. Twelve years ago she moved to Centreville and later worked at Bull Run Elementary School as an instructional assistant. Her greatest accomplishments are teaching and raising her daughter who attends Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology. When not at school she enjoys scrapbooking, visiting new places, going to museums, and visiting with friends.
